W2 Entertainment Finance taps Wong
W2 Entertainment Finance, a partnership partner of W2 Media, has hired veteran professional Savine Wong to supervise daily methods in the company's entertainment lending division. W2 made the announcement Wednesday, the opening day's the American Film Market. Wong is dependent inside the company's Toronto office and therefore are accountable to W2 principals Warren Nimchuk and Warren Fergus. W2 noted it finances tax credits together with other production incentives, provides earnings against domestic and worldwide pre-purchase contracts, funds print and advertising expenses for studio and independent releases, and arranges gap financing on projects inside the $5 million to $25 million budget range. W2 mentioned Wong will oversee client associations, the administration of monetary financial loans, financial and profitability/sales analysis, and legal documentation settlement. Wong spent the ultimate four years in Hong Kong with Standard Chartered Bank (HK) Ltd., where she oversaw the bank's entertainment lending division, coping with media and entertainment clients throughout Asia and Australia. She's done co-production film financing projects in Canada, Australia and China inside the $ten million to $80 million budget range. Throughout her tenure at Standard Chartered Bank, she was connected using the financing for ''Red High high cliff,'' ''Killer Elite,'' ''Tomorrow When The War Began,'' ''Bait,'' ''Burning Guy,'' ''Casino Jack'' and ''The Double.''
